Measuring for Fit and Function!
Begin by considering where the shuter panels will mount, how they will open and how much clearance the louvers will have to rotate. Be aware of obstacles like window and door handles. Consider the width of the panels - larger widths make better views but also require more clearance to open. This may not be a concern since shutters are frequently only rotated open.
Inside (IM) or Outside (OM) measurements?
Measurements may be provided as outside (frame to frame) or Inside (window) measurements. If specified as outside mount the product will be made the same size as ordered without deductions. Inside measurements represent the window size and deductions (1/4") will be made to allow the shutter to fit inside of he measurements provided. "Z" frames require inside measurements and will be manufactured such that the base fits inside the measurements provided and the molding flap extends beyond the measurment provided. This is recommended on out of square windows or where there is a large variance in width or length measurements.
Measuring guidelines
measure the width in three places -
Inside Mount - provide the smallest width.
Outside Mount - provide the full width to be covered
if there is a large variance then avoid IM "L" frame
provide the smallest height measurement.

check the diagonal measurements to confirm that they are equal.

- If T post is required in a specific place then measure from Left side to desired T post location
- If Divider Rail is desired measure from bottom to desired height.
